Kia Motors Corporation announced the first official photos of Kia’s next generation Picanto city car, which now offers a bolder look, more mature and more confident. Completely refurbished and redesigned, the new car has grown in length and wheelbase and is about to redefine its position as one of the most competitive cars in its segment.
Kia design chief Peter Schreyer said: “In profile, Picanto new modeling capabilities and a significant character trait very important increase. The result is an overlap of light and shadow and it breaks the time, giving the car a more Safe-feet for support. ”
While the current Kia Picanto is available only as a five-door hatchback, the new generation version will be offered with five doors globally, a more sporty three-door body will also be marketed in Europe. The new Kia Picanto will have four engines all new displacements in 1.0 and 1.2 liters, all boasting class leading levels of CO2 emissions. In addition to petrol engines, LPG bi-fuel and flex fuel variations available depending on the market.
The next generation of Kia Picanto will be officially presented at the 2011 Geneva International Motor Show in March, while other specifications are available.
